The Historic Phoenix Inn – a treasure of upstate New York

In the lush expanses of upstate New York, lays this historic property in the heart of Cooperstown. A quick stone’s throw from the beautiful Susquehanna River, the Phoenix brings together families and nature. Set on 12 acres of property, she welcomes, small, as well as large groups, looking to entertain, or just unwind from the tenacity of every day life. A short distance from the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, Glimmerglass Museum, and the world-renowned Ommegang Brewery. The Phoenix awaits to host your family for whatever retreat you look to experience.

Constructed in the early 19th century, The Phoenix Inn has lived many lives. From what was once home to the workers at the local flour mill and those that built the Bassett Hospital to a local tavern serving decadent meals and drinks supporting the blue-collar fabric of Central New York, the Phoenix has seen herself playing a quintessential role in the lives of many.

The days when the Phoenix was a fully functional inn, she has had the honor and privilege to welcome legendary, professional baseball players and/or their families as guests. In this tradition, the property continues to host baseball fans throughout the year and baseball tournament families from all around the nation during their child’s weeklong tournament hosted by Cooperstown Dreams Park.

The Phoenix Inn awaits your arrival so that you also can be part of her rich history and she will definitely be a part of yours.
